Who it is for:
We envision our FLAT SHARE community to be a collective of creatives from different disciplines and backgrounds, united by a passion for movement. We are specifically interested in hearing from those who often feel excluded or unwelcome, unheard voices who want to create positive social impact. East London Dance champions creatives, fostering inclusivity, equity, and representation.
If you are aligned with this ethos and you’re a dance artist, producer, filmmaker or creator of any discipline working in the creative industries – Look no further! We invite you to apply to be part of FLAT SHARE, our growing creative community.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who are underrepresented in the sector, such as those who identify as D/deaf and/or disabled, those from low socio-economic backgrounds, those from the LGBTQIA+ community, those from Global Majority heritages* or those who have experienced racism*.
*By the term ‘Global Majority heritages’ we are referring to individuals of African or Caribbean heritage, South Asian heritage, East Asian heritage, West Asian heritage, Central Asian heritage, South East Asian heritage, people of Middle East and North African heritage.
*By the term ‘those who have experienced racism’, we are referring to individuals who have experienced discrimination based on the colour of their skin, race and/or their culture.
